Logotherapy addresses a wide variety of life challenges, such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, illness, addiction, phobias and relationship issues. The main technique in Logotherapy is Socratic Dialogue, in which the Logotherapist asks the person questions to help them deepen their awareness of what they are longing for and at the same time how life is inviting them to rise to the challenges they have been given and become the person they were meant to be. The Logotherapist helps them to become aware of their values and to see that they always have a choice.
Regardless of what we are struggling with, in the end we have to find our own answers. No one can find it for us. We have to take responsibility for our own lives. Thus, the Logotherapist is like a facilitator in a dialogue between the client and life itself. Life, so to speak is always asking something of me. What kind of opportunity is this? How can I use it to serve a higher good?
Every person we meet and every situation we experience is an encounter that connects us with someone or something beyond ourself. The focus, therefore is not on how I can be happy. First, find something meaningful to do, and happiness will come of its own accord.
We will do our best to find the appropriate Logotherapist for you, whether it is from our staff or our graduates. Every Logotheraist has a different style and a different area of expertise.
