Since I belong to the generation that didn’t grow up with Facebook, my entry into it was reluctant. My niece told me how great it is because you can talk to all your friends at once, like being at a big party.
I replied: “Why do I have to talk to everyone at once? Why can’t I just write you an email?” Soon after this I wrote to her mother (on Facebook) about how much I had enjoyed seeing her daughter when she came for a visit. My niece was quick to take up the cue and commented on my sister-in-law’s wall (her mother’s wall), “See? Like that! Without Facebook, I wouldn’t have seen this.”
Today again I had a Facebook moment. After having posted a request on someone’s wall, a different person posted an answer. In addition, one can reach enormous numbers of people.
I have to admit facebook is pretty cool
